Kerala's Classrooms Get a Futuristic Upgrade with AI Teacher : IRIS

Imagine a teacher who can personalize lessons, answer questions in multiple languages, and even roam around the classroom! This isn't science fiction; it's the reality at KTCT Higher Secondary School in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. They've welcomed Iris, India's first AI teacher robot!
Developed by Maker Labs, Iris is a product of generative AI, meaning she can learn and adapt to her students' needs. This allows her to create engaging and interactive lessons tailored to each student's pace and understanding. Iris can handle a wide range of subjects, from nursery rhymes to complex concepts in science and math, making her a valuable asset for teachers.
This innovative project is part of the Atal Tinkering Lab initiative by NITI Aayog, which aims to revolutionize education through technology. Iris isn't just a static presence; she can move around the classroom, interact with students, and answer their questions in Hindi, English, Malayalam, and even more languages!
